Assessment, Feedback and Plagiarism
The assessment of students, provision of feedback and the prevention of plagiarism are issues of central concern to everyone in higher education. As student numbers have increased this has increased the pressure to assess and feedback to students, in a suitable time frame. This pressure is particularly strong in bioscience where students usually undertake many assignments, (e.g. practical reports and problem solving). The pressure on students to perform, the number of students and the changes in technology makes plagiarism a problem unlikely to go away.
