Student Feedback ProjectThis was an LTSN-funded project consisting of a series of self studies to gain a deeper understanding of the ways in which student feedback can be obtained and used to help teachers improve their knowledge of how students learn and what they have learnt. Twenty four departments, 6 from each of the LTSN Subject Centres for:
were involved in the project. Particpants were given an overview of the project and a series of potential methods to elicit feedback. They were then asked to prepare a plan for their department and attend a workshop to discuss these plans. The project was completed in Summer 2004 and generated 21 case studies. (Note that these case studies are an evaluation of the methodologies used, and not of the quality of the teaching).
