Case study of a student conference on animal nutrition
DescriptionThis project assessed students' feelings and reactions before and after organising a conference on animal nutrition. Students were given training in self and peer-assessment and had to create working groups, deal with the project budget and organise the conference. The group of students and others not directly involved in the preparation of the event were monitored and the impact on their learning progression was evaluated. Feedback was be also obtained from academic colleagues and participants at the conference. The success of the project led to a grant for a further 5 years from the FDTL3 Realworld project.
