About Us
The inaugural, biennial Science Learning and Teaching Conference was held in 2005. It is the first UK national conference designed to bring together practitioners in the teaching of science disciplines in higher education to share their experiences, identify common challenges and to provide an opportunity to share effective (and innovative) practice.
The Conference programme aims to bring together practitioners to discuss and share experiences and practice, through parallel sessions, workshops and poster sessions alongside more informal discussion time during breaks and the conference dinner. The smaller nature of the Conference (around 140 delegates) is often commented on by delegates, encouraging discussions and networking.
Conference Organisers
The Conference is jointly organised by the Higher Education Academy Subject Centres for Bioscience, Materials and Physical Sciences.
