The Macintosh Hypercard stacks for 'Genetics' and 'Mapping' are in 'gen.sit' and 'map.sit' respectively. These have been compressed with Stuffit. Once they have been unstuffed, the two files can be copied to Hypercard. The two stacks are linked so it is best to keep them in the same folder.

The PC ToolBook versions, 'Genetics.tbk' and Mapping.tbk' are uncompressed. Copy both books to the same sub-directory within ToolBook.

If you need to install or update your copy of the ToolBook runtime click here.

If you want to create an icon in Windows Program Manager, so that these books can be opened directly from a window, do the following:

  1. Select 'File' from the menu bar within Program Manager
  2. Select 'New' from the drop-down menu
  3. Select 'Program Item' and click 'OK'
  4. Assuming that 'Genetics.tbk' has been copied to a sub-directory called 'My_Books' enter the following information in the dialogue box:
Description :
Genetics
CommandLine:
C:\TOOLBOOK\TOOLBOOK.EXE C:\TOOLBOOK\MY_BOOKS\GENETICS.TBK
Working Directory:
C:\TOOLBOOK

You will need these files

Make sure that your software is correctly configured to download to disk and then click on the filenames.

For the Macintosh:

gen.sit (262412 bytes)
map.sit (52417 bytes)

For the PC:
