The TCA Cycle & Oxidative Phosphorylation

J. Maber

Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology

University of Leeds

TCA_OXPH.ZIP contains material used by Jon Maber to teach the TCA cycle and oxidative phosphorylation to a group of first year biochemistry students.

There are several unannotated animations whose file names are of the form AN-1ZA-*.TBK. Run them and you should be able to work out what they illustrate. There is a puzzle in which students need to know something about the TCA cycle to reach the answer. This is in J_SMITH.TBK. Try it - it's trickier than it looks and makes super tutorial support material. There are also two drill and practice items (no, really, the students thought they were great!) called OXDRILL.TBK and TCADRILL.TBK.

The ToolBook files are all archived in TCA_OXPH.ZIP.

Make sure that your software is correctly configured to download to disk and then click on the filename.

You can extract the working files with PKUNZIP.EXE. You will need ToolBook to run the .TBK files.
