MacCycle is an extensive visual data base in which you can examine up to 40 photomicographs with explanatory diagrams, graphs of hormone levels and four animations that illustrate the important dynamic changes during the Menstrual Cycle. This program, developed initially at St Andrew's using the Macintosh authoring system, Hypercard, was subsequently re-authored by Aberdeen to run on IBM PCs using Asymetrix Toolbook. MacCycle has been used at St Andrew's for first year undergraduate science and medical teaching as a substitute for 2 practicals and 2 lectures. MacCycle is designed to help the student:
