This tutorial package, developed using Asymetrix Toolbook, serves as an introduction as well as revision tutorials for first year science and medical undergraduates. It introduces the students to the gross anatomy and histology of the kidney and is designed to complement ongoing lectures and practicals. The package is highly interactive with a series of MCQs and text based questions that require keyboard entry and mouse identification of structures As the student progresses they 'zoom' in from macroscopic to electon-microscopic views of the kidney.. BMS software is designed to use the following directory structure. This package will however work in other directories. If the directories are not present in your directory tree, it is advisable to create them and transfer the appropriate files to their proper directories. (Please note that the scripting allows use on a network so that they may be used on other drives if the directories and subdirectories containing the appropriate files are present.)
The .TBK files are password-protected and the password is fred so you can alter it to suit your own circumstances. All we ask is that you acknowledge any use you make of the material and send the authors any comments, improvements or suggestions.
