Professional Development Event

Differentiated Learning - Stretching Able Students

Wednesday 14th January 2009

AIMS Seminar Centre, Room 1, University of Bristol

" . . . higher education should develop each student to their full potential . . . special provisions were almost always made available to weaker students who were struggling with their courses. However, special provision was not common for the most able students even though these students, if fully developed, might make a disproportionate contribution to innovation and discovery in their disciplines and the development of the UK economy."

Taken from Differentiated Learning

Following on from the Centre's recent Differentiated Learning Forum this event gave those with an interest in this area the opportunity to share practice and discuss issues surrounding supporting more able students in the biosciences.
