Registration for Effective Learning in the Biosciences Conference is through My Academy. My Academy is an online service of the Higher Education Academy which allows you to:

• book onto events;
• subscribe to mailing lists; and
• view and amend details the Academy and its Subject Network hold about you.

If you are a new user you will be asked to register to use My Academy after which you will be sent a password (this can take a few minutes so please be patient). If your details are already in the database, this will be confirmed when you try to register and you will be given a password to login. All the rates below include:

• Registration on day 1 and day 2
• Lunch and all refreshments on both days
• Bed and breakfast accommodation on the night of the 30th June
• Conference dinner on the evening of the 30th June

Lead Presenters Rate - £200 (Available until Friday 1st April 2011 to those leading presentations or workshops)

Early Bird Rate - £200 (Available until Friday 1st April 2011)

Full delegate Rate - £255 (after Friday 1st April 2011)

Student Rate - £200 (please note, student ID will be required at registration)

You can register to attend part of the Conference

Day 1 or day 2 delegate rates do not include the Conference dinner or overnight accommodation on the 30th June. If you require either of these please book them separately.

Day 1 delegate - £125

Day 2 delegate - £125

Conference dinner on the evening of the 30th June - £45

Accommodation on the night of the 30th June - £44

Accommodation on the 29th June and 1st July

If you require accommodation at the conference venue on the night of the 29th June or the 1st July please contact the Conference office at the University of Edinburgh on +44 (0)131 651 2007 or book online at www.edinburghfirst.co.uk/for-accommodation/pollock-halls. If at all possible they will try and accommodate you in Chancellors Court where we are staying on the night of the 30th June. Please mention you are attending this conference when you book.

Please quote UK Centre for Bioscience and booking number 109243 (our block booking reference) when requesting accommodation for any extra nights, to ensure you are able to remain in the same room for the duration of your stay.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel please inform the Conference team on bioconf@leeds.ac.uk or by phone on +44(0) 113 3433001 as soon as possible. Cancellations one month or less before the Conference will incur the full registration charge, substitutions will not incur a charge. Non-attendance will also incur the full registration charge. At our discretion, the charge may be waived or reduced where illness / family / home emergency prevents attendance.
