The UK Centre for Bioscience has now closedThis Centre website has been migrated to a live 'archive' at the Higher Education Academy (July 2012). (Site last updated Dec 2011. Journal updated July 2011)The UK Centre for Bioscience was a Subject Centre of the Higher Education Academy. Between 2000 and December 2011 we supported teaching in higher education to improve student learning in the biosciences through the development of sub-disciplinary and themed networks, events and conferences, web resources including ImageBank, publications including the journal Bioscience Education and Learning Guides and Short Guides, and consultancy. The functions of the Subject Centre have now been transferred to the Higher Education Academy (www.heacademy.ac.uk). The team at the Centre would like to thank all those who contributed to the Centre and the community's success over the years, and we hope that our many colleagues and friends across the UK and beyond, will build on our legacy and continue to use our resources for years to come. |
